The Elixir Foundation Institute for Theoretical Consciousness Science

Mission
The Elixir Foundation is an independent research initiative dedicated to the rigorous mathematical and conceptual synthesis of consciousness science. We aim to bridge the gap between empirical anomalies in neuroscience and foundational theories of mind.

Our primary focus is the development of the Regulatory-Constraint Model (R-CM) of consciousness, exploring how neural architectures constrain, rather than generate, phenomenological state-spaces. By integrating principles from Dynamical Systems Theory, Information Integration (IIT), and Global Workspace dynamics, we seek to provide a physically grounded yet non-reductive account of subjective experience.

Current Research Areas

  • Constraint Architectures: Reinterpreting neural correlates as topological constraints on state-space trajectories.
  • The No-Report Paradigm: Investigating the dissociation between cognitive access and phenomenological presence.
  • Theoretical Synthesis: Unifying "generative" and "filter" models of mind under a single formal framework.
